Particularly in the Rhine-Main region associated with rail, water and air transport are three other ways virtually no restrictions.
The Gross-Gerau district benefits from these advantages of location: One in ten jobs in the transport and logistics industry located. Against this background, the Department of Economic Development of the district administration organized twice a year since 2009 the "logistics industry dialogue." Host on Monday afternoon was in the industrial area of Gustavsburg forwarding company based guarantor.

There, participants learned the facts about their own insurance industry. Daniel Theobald of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in Darmstadt, presented one of the Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Technical University (TU) Darmstadt created logistics study, which includes all South Hesse. Then in this area around 5000 transport and logistics company with more than 51 000 employees are located. "1300 firms are alone in the district of Gross-Gerau find," said Theobald. What men and women could sit up from the tray: Up to 2017 from University of Commerce and also severe skills shortage. "Every year, 1,000 workers are missing," said the chamber staff.
This trend is confirmed by the Bad Homburg, Ulrich Wagner IKCM consulting firm. "This shortage is in stark contradiction to the still serious youth unemployment." Therefore, it is not surprising that many would have to transport and logistics companies rely on temporary workers. The confirmation came from Andreas Hennig, managing director of subsidiary guarantor in Gustavsburg, where it sits for more than ten years. "We have three apprentices. The planned appointment of a fourth failed. "In the coming year but the company would increase to five trainees. Currently 101 employees are employed by a guarantor. Workforce is complemented by a maximum of about 50 temporary workers.
Christian Zuber of the Rhine-Main logistics initiative put before the potential of the network. The annual result will be considerably lower than last year, announced Europe's largest copper smelter in on Wednesday, without giving specific figures. This demonstrates the MDax group significantly more confident than last. Aurubis justified this with special effects. In the same period last year, the Group had benefited from a rise in the copper stocks, which were not incurred in the quarter. Analysts had expected even less. They had only one capable Aurubis tax profit of 42.4 million euros.

Investors were initially pleased with the numbers and good views from Aurubis. This includes iron extraction (for the production of steel) from iron ore, and copper extraction and other base metals from their ores. Smelting uses heat and a chemical reducing agent, commonly a fuel that is a source of carbon such as coke, or in earlier times charcoal, to change the oxidation state of the metal ore. The carbon or carbon monoxide derived from it removes oxygen from the ore to leave the metal. The carbon is thus oxidized in two stages, producing first carbon monoxide and then carbon dioxide. Copper is vital to modern life, since it is the basic materila for copper cables and a good electrical conductor. Therefore copper is mined extensively and extracted via various methodes. Some of the methodes are discussed in this book.

Copper Mining and Smelting Film

Vintage Copper Mining and Smelting Film is a visually stunning film and gives an overview of the process of mining and smelting copper, using striking footage of big explosions and molten hot metal. Far from bland as one might think a history of metallurgy would be, the massive machinery and white hot pools of liquid metal involved in the American copper smelting process are breathtaking. The first sequence shows how copper is mined from the ground with metal working tools and using dynamite (up to fifteen sticks!), and then transported by rail to the refinery. Afterwards, smelting, which is the process by which ore is melted down in order to extract pure metals, is shown in all its bright orange glory. This film about the history of copper and copper smelting remains interesting, from the mining to the furnaces, because it doesn't get technical but focuses on the great shots of this industry at work. This great metal working video is a wonderful introduction to metallurgy in general, and copper mining in particular.

extractive metallurgy of copper

Some editorial reviews:
Review
...a useful reference for the specialist -- J.F. With the advent of a "borderless world", cities become a more important criteria in prioritizing markets, as opposed to regions, continents, or countries. This report covers the top 2000 cities in over 200 countries. It does so by reporting the estimated market size (in terms of latent demand) for each major city of the world. It then ranks these cities and reports them in terms of their size as a percent of the country where they are located, their geographic region (e.g. Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America, Latin America), and the total world market.

In performing various economic analyses for its clients, I have been occasionally asked to investigate the market potential for various products and services across cities. The purpose of the studies is to understand the density of demand within a country and the extent to which a city might be used as a point of distribution within its region. From an economic perspective, however, a city does not represent a population within rigid geographical boundaries. To an economist or strategic planner, a city represents an area of dominant influence over markets in adjacent areas. This influence varies from one industry to another, but also from one period of time to another.

In what follows, I summarize the economic potential for the world's major cities for "blister, anode, and other refined primary copper and copper-base alloy and primary copper smelter products produced for further refining excluding commercial grade" for the year 2009. The goal of this report is to report my findings on the real economic potential, or what an economist calls the latent demand, represented by a city when defined as an area of dominant influence. The reader needs to realize that latent demand may or may not represent real sales.

Sampling and Analysis of Copper Cathodes

Our little book review Sampling and Analysis of Copper Cathodes that was written by W.
